Dental implants

Thanks to dental implants, the patient recovers both: the root and the crown of the lost piece.

There are multiple solutions that vary depending on the case: single or pontic restorations. They occur in sections and or complete restorations in totally edentulous people.

These patients will be able to recover their smile and functionality thanks to hybrids and porcelains on each implant. Each case will be studied with the latest technology and in a hospital environment with maximum guarantee.

Dental implantology is that speciality of dentistry whose mission is to recover functionality and aesthetics in those cases where one or more dental losses have occurred.

Dental implants are generally made of titanium or zirconium, fully biocompatible materials that are placed in the bone tissue and attached to it through osteointegration system (melt into the bone).

TYPES OF IMPLANT PROTHESIS

  • UNITARY IMPLANT

Fixed prosthetic restoration of a single tooth made of metal-ceramic or zirconium material (non-metallic).

  • BRIDGE ON IMPLANTS

It allows to fix permanently several dental absences by placing fewer implants. They can be either metal-ceramic or non-metallic.

  • OVERDENTURES

Complete removable resin rehabilitation of an entire dental arch by placing 4 implants.

  • HYBRIDS

Complete fixed rehabilitation of an entire dental arch by placing 6 to 8 implants. In this case, the prosthesis can be made of resin or composite material.

  • FIXED COMPLETE REHABILITATION

Allows the replacement of an entire dental arch with the placement of 8 to 10 implants through a completely fixed restoration in metal-porcelain or zirconium. It is the best solution for an edentulous patient.

DENTAL IMPLANT PLACEMENT PROCEDURE

This treatment can only be performed by a professional and specialist in dental implantology since it is a complex procedure.

  • The first step involves an exhaustive radiographic study on which an adequate diagnosis and treatment plan are made. In those cases where there is insufficient bone the patient can undergo a bone regeneration surgery to obtain better support for the
    artificial root.

  • The second phase consists in surgery: placing the implant under local anaesthesia or under conscious sedation (if the patient requests it). The osseointegration process can last from 3 to 6 months. During this time, the patient may have a temporary prosthesis for aesthetic and functional reasons

  • The third and last step consists on the prosthetic phase, where impressions are taken to make the final custom-made prosthesis and various fit tests are carried out before final placement.
